Dan and I right after the ultra sound last Friday. It was so amazing to see her moving around inside my belly and not really even knowing it other than my belly is getting bigger. Check out "Belly Shots" to see recent belly shot.

It's A....................................

GIRL!!!! Friday we had an ultra sound to see how things were coming along. Everything looks great!!! She is 13 oz. and her heart, bladder, spine, head, legs and arms all look great, of course we are a little bias. She was so busy doing summer salts that we didn't' get great pictures of her face, but most importantly we were able to see that everything was fine. So here are the shots, enjoy and Dan and I thank you all for your prayers. We both have a great peace in our hearts that she is healthy and we can't wait to meet her. So today we start arranging the little girl nursery. Dan and I are both so excited for a girl, we didn't have a preference, but Dan did say, "she'll still go fishing and hunting and camping with us, right?" Love you all!!!

Girl's Night Out

Mom, Julie and I spent a weekend together back in October and all the guys were gone, hunting, drill, and to Mexico and so we had a great girls weekend. One night we went out to the Western and didn't even get ready so here is the picture that made our local monthly paper. It never fails when you don't get ready there is the lady that takes pictures for the paper. It is always nice to spend a weekend with the girls!!!
Happy 29th Dan!!!
We went to see Dan's family for the weekend to celebrate Dan's birthday. He doesn't look any older today!! The guys went shooting and the girls hung out and talked sewing and girl stuff. We had so much food and birthday cake, the whole nine yards, on Sunday we had Dan's favorite, Roast Beef!! We hope you all had a great weekend too. I'll post birthday pictures as soon as I get some of the old guy!!

3rd Doctors Appointment
All is looking good. My mom went with me this time, so we made a "girl's night out", out of it. We got to hear the heart beat, 141bpm, I guess as the baby gets bigger the heart rate slows down some. It was 166 a month ago, but the doctor seemed to be fine with it. We got to hear a kick too, but I still haven't felt the baby move, so I still wait for that moment patiently. My mom took her IPod with us and recorded the baby's heart beat on it, so if I can I'll post that for all of your enjoyment. I have gained 9 pounds total and 6 of them since the beginning of Nov., everything is looking good. We still haven't found out what it is, but will let you all know as soon as we know and not a moment sooner. :) Oh, so after the appointment we got to go to Cattle Baron for probably the first meal out in a while that I actually completely enjoyed my food. I think I ate three loaves of bread with some help. I am eating more now and everything is looking good. Finally I can enjoy food again, and I so enjoy food!!!

Favorite Foods
For now....it does change every other day or so. I have been loving grapefruit juice and grapefruits, oranges, and clementines. I guess I am in need of vitamin 'C'. Tonight I just had a great snack, tummy was actually hungry and I knew it, so I had a green chili bagel from Einsteins, so good!!! I was a red chili lover before pregnancy, but for what ever reason the last week I have been wanting green chili in eggs, salsa, in bagels. Just thought I'd share my favorite food for now with you. I am just so excited to be eating somewhat normal again, I love food and love eating and so missed all of that the first 3 months. I am getting more done at home and at work, so my boss and husband should be happier. Oh, yes and Happy New Year to all of you!!!!!
Friends over Christmas
I got to visit with a few friends this trip north for Christmas as well. I miss all of you so much and I'll try to spread the visits out so that I can see you all every now and then. I got to see Hannah, Hank, and their kids on Christmas Eve, they flew in to spend Christmas with Hannah's family. They are such a cute family, in every way, I just feel like my self around them, Hannah is practically my sister. It has been 3 years since I had seen them, so it was definitely time.
I also got to see Mariah, whom I hadn't seen in 1.5 years, so it was time to see her too. She is wonderful and still just as sweet as always.
Not pictured here are our friends Alisa and Rick, we met them after Christmas at Flying Star for some desert (the desert was soooo good). They are such a cute couple and Alisa and I went to Architecture school together so it is always fun to get together and share and reminisce on old college days :). They have two boxer puppies and we got caught up on the new stories with them too.
Love you all!! So glad I got to see you!!
Pictures from the Hughes Family Christmas

Dan and I went to spend Christmas this year with his family. His sister Amy and her boy friend Ryan came to visit and Dan's brother, David lives with Dan's family. So we got to see everyone!! We all had such a great time. Lots of game playing, Dan's Grandma, Nonie even learned how to play "Uno" she of course had a great stroke of beginners luck and beat us the first two games. We also had the traditional tamales and pasole on Christmas Eve after Christmas Eve service at Hoffmantown, which was wonderful as we anticipated, nothing like having the row full of family at Christmas Eve service. Dan and David went riding, the girls got their nails done and went shopping after Christmas, we are so bad. Amy, David, Dan and I went out dancing one night too, I can still dance even though I am growing a tummy. We all so enjoyed spending so much time together, laughing, eating, laughing, eating, dancing, eating, watching movies, and oh, did I mention eating!!! We had a great time, lots of quality time together as a family!!! Oh, I guess we were really good this past year because we also got lots of great gifts. Baby Hughes even got a few stuffed animals from Granny Gwen and Great grandma Nonie. Thank you all sooooo much for your thoughtfulness!!! We love you all!
