9th Doctor's Appointment
Well, once again everything has checked out nicely. Her heart beat sounds great, she is still a she, Dan was glad about that. The doctor said everything looks great and just as it should. So we are still on schedule for June 9th as a due date, but of course we'll see what little Kacie has in mind. Today is my final crunch day, so after today will be fine with me. We are both excited and ready to meet her any time. Of course the longer she stays the better so...I'll keep you posted on next weeks visit.

Nursery Update
Here are a few shots of the nursery at completion, well minus one important piece, Kacie Lyn!!! Dan hopes she likes pink and still says it better be a girl, there is a lot of pink in this room. We have gotten so many great things!!! Thank you all for your gifts, I am currently working on Thank You notes, so you'll get them eventually.
We are getting so excited. 3 weeks until our due date as of tomorrow. So we'll see when she wants to come I guess God has her birth date all picked out and there is not much I can do about it. We are ready to take care or her, hold her, feed her, watch her, on and on. Any last minute pointers we are open to any suggestions, so please send them on.
Guesses on the big day include:
Gwen - June 3rd
Lyn - June 8th (give or take 5 days)
Amy - May 30th
Dan - two weeks early (which is next Tuesday the 26th...)
Cammie (our office manager) - 1.5 weeks early or June 5th or June 6th
Feel free to send your idea on. :)

8th Doctor's Appointment
We had our 8th Doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Everything is going as it is supposed to. I have gained a total of 19lbs. and the Kacie's heart rate was 138bpm and she is where she is supposed to be. We are down to our once a week appointments so I'll update you again next week.
Please keep us in your prayers. I think we are ready, but then again that is a naive statement because I have never had a baby before. We have the nursery ready and all her clothes washed and her coming home from the hospital outfit picked out, but as far as being "ready" to take care of a new born at home, well I am still reading up on that. My mom and Dan's mom will be around trading off their time and I know they will both be a great help.
I have a few nesting things to do still, mop the floors, clean out the refrigerator and deep freeze and then I think I am done nesting. I have the front porch all ready for summer sitting with our new little one. It is my favorite room in our house during the summer. For those of you that haven't been to the mountains in the summer, you should make a trip down, you are welcome any time after July this year!

Church Shower

Our Church threw us a couples baby shower last weekend. We had soooo much food, great company, and wonderful punch!!! I think I drank 8 glasses, it is good for the baby right! Julie and I got lots of great things from some wonderful friends. Thank you all for coming and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the stories and experiences shared that hopefully we will learn from. Gail and Dave have a great house for entertaining. I think the only thing I didn't get a picture of was the Ping Pong Tournament that went on behind the scenes with the guys. Mom and Kathy got a game in and Jerry is still unbeatable. Dan tried his hardest, guess he needs to practice a bit more. I am not much practice for him, that is for sure, maybe Kacie will be. Thanks again to everyone for spoiling us rotten, we love all of you!!!
Yellow Ribbon Ceremony
We would ask that you all keep our very dear brother-in-law, Jeff Bragg, Julie's husband, in your prayers for the next year. He is in Wisconsin for training and waiting to be deployed to Afghanistan mid June and will be there for 400 days.
We all went to Roswell for his Yellow Ribbon Ceremony. It was nice time with family, the 920th Engineering Company paraded in their ACU's for us, so proud and courageous!! I was so proud to see Jeff standing tall and marching with his unit. The Army and City of Roswell did a wonderful job of honoring our troops that are being deployed over seas. What a blessing to be a part of it and to catch a glimpse into all all the families making sacrifices for the freedom of our Country. Jeff, we thank you for what you are willing to do and we are praying for you daily and can't wait to have you home again! We love you!!
I'll post pictures of this event soon, camera was temporarily out of order!!

Shower with Wonderful Friends!!!
Thank you to Shannon and Becky for putting on a wonderful shower!!!! You two and Ella and Avery are such wonderful friends, thank you so much for making this time in our lives so special. It was beautiful because of both the decorations and the people that were there. Thank you all for coming. I miss all of you so much and I was blessed to get to see you. Kacie was blessed too, she got lots of wonderful things!!! I wish it could have lasted hours longer so that I could have gotten to see more of each of you. Here are some pics from the awesome event. Love you all and thank you again sooo much for all of our blessings!!!!
Oh, The three blankets shown are from Dan's mom (Granny Gwen), Dan's Grandma (Kacie's Great Grandma), and Dan's sister (Cool Aunt Amy). What an awesome thing to have hand made blankets from the Grandmothers and the Aunt. I know Kacie will cherish them. I agreed with Becky that these all have to go in a special box somewhere, you can't use family heirlooms, she might ruin them. Thank you Gwen, Nonnie and Amy for the special memories and treasured keepsakes. We love all of you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
